Marvel Future Fight Alliance Conquest #2 – Jean Grey + Thanos+ Colossus Edition

March 6, 20202:03 pm By

We are back with another Alliance Conquest gameplay using Pocophone F1. Alliance Conquest just ended last March 4, 2020. This time we will be looking at Jean Grey, Thanos, and Colossus team battles.

We had another Alliance Conquest last week, but the enemies were not fighting back so we barely had any battles. The problem is that I was not able to get a Mythic contribution reward even if we won. 🙁

I prefer losing but being able to play many battles than winning with almost no battle at all because I want to get the contribution reward.

Now, let’s get into our battles. Welcome to the Marvel Future Fight Alliance Conquest #2!

My name is Chris and my IGN is chrisz2478.

In my Alliance Conquest #1 post, I showed you my Card Information. But we need that info again in our gameplay analysis.

I built my cards specifically for Alliance Conquest. As you can see, my primary focus is increasing my Max HP stat. I also made sure that my Total Physical and Energy Attacks are not too low.

I also intentionally reduced my Cooldown Duration so that my characters’ skills have a high chance of rotating during Alliance Conquest.

I also increased my Ignore Defense above 40% on purpose so that I can roll my characters’ 4th gear to Dodge Rate instead of Ignore Defense. This helps reach the maximum Dodge Rate for my characters.

Below is the summary of my card stats:

  • Max HP: 50% + 20% HP proc from two cards
  • Total Energy Attack: 47.2%
  • Total Physical Attack: 41.8%
  • Ignore Defense: 43.1%
  • Cooldown Duration: 17.7%

The custom gear and ISO stats of my team are shown below:

  • T3 Jean Grey (Lead), CTP of Regeneration (Max Proc), Fully-Awakened POAH ISO
  • T3 Thanos, CTP of Destruction (Max Proc), Fully-Awakened POAH ISO
  • T2 Colossus, CTP of Insight (Max Proc)

My Jean Grey Build

I’m using CTP of Regeneration for Jean Grey because this is the best CTP for her based on my experience in Alliance Conquest.

I used to have CTP of Authority on her, but the Invincibility is useless most of the time when battling another Jean Grey because of her 5th skill which has an 80% chance to pierce Invincibility.

I also used to have CTP of Destruction on her, but she’s too exposed with this CTP. If her AI did not use her 3rd skill that has heal and guard against hits, there is little hope in winning even if I have a 75% Max Dodge Rate and huge Max HP from cards. Now that Colossus has a decreased damage effect on the team, even the proc from CTP of Destruction won’t give Jean Grey a quick win.

So finally, I switched to CTP of Regeneration which greatly improved her survivability. It also has synced well with my Max HP from cards and her 75% Max Dodge Rate. Her damage is already high enough to kill another Jean Grey or Thanos even if the enemy has a Colossus buff.

My Thanos Build

I equipped the CTP of Destruction on him. I think the best CTP for him, in general, is CTP of Regeneration.

I used to have CTP of Regeneration on him, but battling another Thanos that also has a CTP of Regeneration is like a gamble. The battle takes too long and usually lasts until the timer ends or who used their T3 skill first.

I don’t want to gamble. I want the “instant kill”.

Given that my Max HP from cards is already too high, Total Physical Attack is not too high, and I have a 75% Max Dodge Rate on him, a CTP of Destruction is a perfect fit.

With CTP of Destruction, he can kill another Thanos with CTP of Regeneration before the timer ends because of the pierce and damage proc from this CTP.

It also allows him to instantly kill Jean Greys with CTP of Regeneration. The problem with battling Jean Grey is that when she starts using her 5th skill with ITGB pierce, not even a CTP of Regeneration can help Thanos from the ITGB pierce of Jean Grey.

Thanos may not die if he has Colossus’ buff, but he will often lose when the timer ends. So a CTP of Destruction also has a higher chance of getting a win because he can kill Jean Grey before she uses her 5th skill or while her 5th skill is on cooldown.

Battle Against User: Raynicboo

Agent Raynicboo has the following card information:

  • Max HP: 30.3%
  • Total Energy Attack: 38.9%
  • Total Physical Attack: 36.7%
  • Ignore Defense: 33.7%
  • Cooldown Duration: 30.6%

I have 20% more Max HP from cards and the possibility to have 20% more from the card proc. I have 8.3% more Energy Attack and 5.1% more Physical Attack.

Battle #1

Enemy Team:

  • T3 Jean Grey (Lead), CTP of Rage (Max Proc), Fully-Awakened POAH ISO
  • T3 Thanos, CTP of Regeneration (Max Proc), Fully-Awakened POAH ISO
  • T2 Colossus, CTP of Insight (Max Proc)

In this battle, the Alliance 30% attack buff was activated.

The problem with Agent Raynicboo‘s team is the CTP of Rage on Jean Grey. It has no ITGB so she has a very little chance of surviving an Alliance Conquest battle against another Jean Grey with CTP of Regeneration.

CTP of Rage also leaves her too exposed. The Max Dodge Rate that Jean Grey obtained from CTP of Rage is useless if you have no ITGB.

As a result, her first life was depleted in just 4 seconds and her second life in just 3 seconds.

His Thanos received all the wrath from my Jean Grey and Thanos after her Jean Grey dies. His Thanos lasted 13 seconds in battle.

Thank you Agent Raynicboo.

Battle Against User: Pingpongong

Agent Pingpongong has the following card information:

  • Max HP: 35.6%
  • Total Energy Attack: 57.2%
  • Total Physical Attack: 43.7%
  • Ignore Defense: 36.1%
  • Cooldown Duration: 31.5%

Compared to my cards, Agent Pingpongong has 10% more Energy Attack. I have 14.4% more Max HP with a chance for 20% more from the card proc. The difference in our Physical Attack is small.

Battle #2

Enemy Team:

  • T3 Jean Grey (Lead), CTP of Greed (Max Proc), Fully-Awakened HE ISO
  • T3 Thanos, CTP of Regeneration (Max Proc), Fully-Awakened Overdrive ISO
  • T2 Colossus, CTP of Refinement

In this battle, our Alliance’s 30% attack buff is NOT active.

Agent Pingpongong‘s Jean Grey has CTP of Greed which I think is not the best CTP for her. He has decent Max HP from cards, but a CTP of Greed makes Jean Grey vulnerable if her AI did not use her 3rd skill. It has Ignore Dodge but it has no pierce.

His Jean Grey’s first life was depleted in 6 seconds. Her second life lasted only for 5 seconds. My Thanos almost died before her second life was taken.

The damage received by my Thanos might have come from the CTP of Greed’s Ignore Dodge. If only he equipped CTP of Insight to Colossus, my Thanos would have received more damage.

His Thanos’ life was depleted in 15 seconds.

Thank you Agent Pingpongong for the battle.

Battle Against User: JcW811

Agent JcW811 has the following card information:

  • Max HP: 39.5% (with additional 20% proc)
  • Total Energy Attack: 55.6%
  • Total Physical Attack: 49.3%
  • Ignore Defense: 31.2%
  • Cooldown Duration: 33.8%

My Max HP from cards is higher by 10.5%. We both have the same Max HP proc. Agent JcW811 has 8.4% more Energy Attack and 7.5% more Physical Attack.

Battle #3

Enemy Team:

  • T3 Jean Grey (Lead), CTP of Greed (Max Proc), Fully-Awakened DDE ISO
  • T3 Thanos, CTP of Regeneration (Max Proc), Fully-Awakened HE ISO
  • T2 Colossus, CTP of Insight (Max Proc)

In this battle, our Alliance’s 30% attack buff is NOT active.

Agent JcW811 has CTP of Greed for Jean Grey and a DDE ISO. The first life of her Jean Grey was depleted in 9 seconds which is longer compared to our previous battles. His Thanos died in 10 seconds.

The second life of his Jean Grey was depleted in just 3 seconds. My Thanos’ life was depleted but not less than 50%.

Again, CTP of Greed is a fully offensive CTP and leaves Jean Grey exposed if she did not use her 3rd skill. I don’t agree with a DDE ISO because the shield from DDE is useless most of the time. A lot of meta can easily pierce through shields.

If only Agent JcW811 equipped a fully awakened offensive ISO set, his attack would have increased by 40% and could have depleted more the life of my Thanos.

Thank you Agent Agent JCW811 for the battle.

Battle Against User: Asterixis

Agent Asterixis has the following card information:

  • Max HP: 28%
  • Total Energy Attack: 59.3%
  • Total Physical Attack: 50.2%
  • Ignore Defense: 37.6%
  • Cooldown Duration: 27%

My Max HP is higher by 22% and I have a chance for an additional 20% from card proc. Agent Asterixis’ Energy Attack is higher by 12.1% and his Physical Attack is higher by 8.4%.

Battle #4

Enemy Team:

  • T3 Jean Grey (Lead), CTP of Regeneration(Max Proc), Fully-Awakened POAH ISO
  • T3 Thanos, CTP of Regeneration (Max Proc), Fully-Awakened Overdrive ISO
  • T2 Colossus, CTP of Refinement

In this battle, our Alliance’s 30% attack buff is NOT active.

Someone in my Alliance already tried to attack Agent Asterixis‘ team but failed. His Colossus is already dead. His Jean Grey is still at full health and his Thanos was depleted by around 4,000 HP.

I think it’s still a fair battle to show because Colossus is usually just there for the buff.

Despite the CTP of Regeneration, her Jean Grey’s first life was depleted in just 7 seconds. Her second life was also depleted in 7 seconds.

His Thanos was a bit tougher. He lasted for 16 seconds.

My team, on the other hand, was barely scratched despite the higher Energy and Physical Attacks from his cards.

Thank you Agent Asterixis for the battle.

Overall Alliance Conquest Result

We lost this week’s AC because we lack numbers. But that’s fine as long as I get to play. 🙂

I also expect more improvements in Alliance Conquent like being able to see how many and what teams were defeated by your defending team. This will give players an idea of what happened on the other side of the battle.

It will also answer questions like are the character skill rotations terrible when your team is defending?

That’s it for today. I’ll see you again on my next Alliance Conquest gameplay. 😀
